Elements of Creation

Hebrews 11:1 states:  Now faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Guess what my friend, EVERYTHING is made from faith!  Everything in existence came into existence as a result of either God's faith or man's faith (or a combination of both).  Faith is what gives substance to creation.  It is what creation is made from.

Nothing can be created without faith.  Even if you are just going to make a coffee table, you must begin by having faith that you can actually make a coffee table :-)  You must know that you not only have the skill and know how, you must know that you have the tools and materials to complete the job.

If you stop and think about it, you really don't do anything without faith.  You don't even do the simplest things without faith.  You have to have faith just to go to work at your office.  First, you make the decision every day to go to work (first comes intent).  You don't realize it because it is so common place and you do it without even thinking, but you also visualize yourself going to work and you say to yourself (at least in your own mind), I'm going to the office.  But before you can actually even go to the office to work, you must have faith that you CAN go.  You must have faith that your car will start and that it will take you where you want to go.  If you didn't believe your car would start and would run well enough to get you to your destination, you would never even leave the house.  See what I mean?  Then you have to have faith in your ability to drive that car to your destination.  Then you also have to have faith that the other drivers on the road are going to stay on their side of the road and operate their vehicles in a safe and responsible manner in order to allow you to get where you are going safely and without incident.

You see, without even realizing it, we live our whole lives by faith.  Without faith, nothing gets done or accomplished, NOTHING!  You may think this is silly, breaking faith down to its most simple and finite form, but we need to understand it at its simplest level before we can operate at the higher spiritual levels.

You are a mighty man (or woman) of faith.  You operate in tremendous faith every day.  Every thing you do, every thing you accomplish only comes about because of your faith.

Faith is not only believing, but it is KNOWING! And powerful faith is knowing on a level so strong that you don't even think about it being any other way or consider the possibility that it could be any other way.  When I go to bed at night, I know the sun is going to come up tomorrow.  I have total powerful faith in that.  It never even occurs to me that it could be any other way.  When I get up in the morning, I have total faith that when I put my feet out of bed, there is going to be a floor there to support me.  I have perfect faith in that.  I don't worry about whether there is going to be a floor there when I get out of bed.  It never even occurs to me that there could possibly not be a floor there.  This is perfect faith.  It is not only believing, but it is knowing

When God said, "Let there be light, He didn't start pacing around heaven thinking, man, I sure hope light comes.  What if no light comes?"  When God said, "Let there be light," he was operating in perfect faith.  He knew that sooner or later, light would manifest.  It had to.  Why?  Because He had said it, He had created it.  When He spoke it, He released His faith that Light would come.  And, His faith created all the light we see today.  In fact, His faith is still working.  New stars are still being born right now, even as you read this.  And those new stars are coming into manifestation as a result of God releasing His faith when He said, "Let there be light!"  These new stars, as is everything else, are made from God's faith.  You are made from God's faith!  And since that faith came out from God, it is part of Him.  You are part of Him and that same faith that created the universe not only created you but is part of you.  And since you are literally a child of God, your faith operates and works the same way His faith does.  You are a mighty powerful spiritual being, you are a mighty man/woman of faith.  The very faith that created the universe works mightily in you and whether you realize it or not, it is creating your individual world and universe that you operate in.

You see, we always look at faith as being some super spiritual thing that can only be used by real saints to perform miracles.  But as I have already pointed out, every living breathing person in the world operates daily by faith and daily exercises great faith.  Get this, there is no such thing as LACK OF FAITH!!!!!!!!!  We all have faith in abundance.  The problems in our individual worlds and the world as a whole all stem from having faith in the wrong thing.  You see, like it or not, realize it or not, you are going to have faith in something and that faith is going to work and produce creation.  It is going to bring things into your world one way or the other.

You can believe and have faith in good and positive things or you can believe and have faith in negative things, but one thing is for sure, you will have faith and your faith will work.  It is just that being sense ruled creatures who tend to respond to what we see manifesting in the natural, and because we constantly see the more negative aspects of human nature and man's behavior and motivations, we tend to build up a whole lot of negative faith.  We tend to expect that things are going to go wrong.  We laugh at and quote Murphy's Law that "Anything that can go wrong, will." :-)  But these ideas and concepts are at the core of our negative faith.  And in addition to that, negative faith is instilled in us by our parents and authority figures almost from birth.  We constantly hear that we must be careful or this bad thing is going to happen or that bad thing will happen.  Some parents instill tremendous faith in poverty in their children (unfortunately mine were guilty of this).  They are always talking about, "We can't afford this," or "That's too expensive," or "I don't know how we are going to pay our bills," etc., etc.  Unfortunately, parents are guilty of instilling negative faith about many different things in their children.  And these words of negative faith will go forth and create the thing or give substance to the thing that they are describing and will bring it into their world and unless we have a definite redemptive change in mind set, it will perpetuate itself in us and the cycle continues.  As the scripture said, "The sins of the fathers are passed on to the children for generation after generation."

Faith is a spiritual force just like gravity is a physical force. Gravity is non-judgmental and operates the way it operates no matter who is involved. If someone jumps off of a 30 story building they are going to fall to the ground and die no matter who they are. Gravity doesn’t think, well, this a really good guy and he says his prayers everyday and he helps a lot of people and he has a family that’s going to be left behind if he dies, so, I think I’ll refrain from pulling him to the ground or at least I’ll be gentle with him so he doesn’t get hurt when he hits the ground J No, even the thought of that seems ridiculous. Likewise, faith is a spiritual force that just works the way it works and it doesn’t decide whether it is going to work based upon how good the person is or how bad he/she may seem to be. Faith gives substance to positive things and circumstances when it is released in a positive way and it produces negative things and circumstances when it is released in a negative way.

Bottom line is that faith works whether it is positive faith or negative faith.  What you really believe in and what you know is going to happen, will happen.  Why?  Because that is what everything is made of.  All things in your life, good or bad, are there because of faith.  They were created by faith.  It is faith that gave them substance.  But, the good news is that faith can also change those negative things and they can be supplanted by positive things.

Remember, worry is not so much anti-faith as it is negative faith.  Worry comes in because of our belief and faith in a negative thing or circumstance becomes strong enough that it takes away the "KNOWING" part of the faith equation.

The faith equation is this:

hope (that it will happen) + believing (that it is possible) + knowing (that it will happen) = FAITH

On the other hand, another equation is:

hope (that it will happen) + believing (that it is possible) + uncertainty (that it will happen) = WORRY

So, negative faith, just like positive faith, is powerful and will produce results.  Remember, there is no such thing as lack of faith.  But there is a problem with faith in a negative result or circumstance being more powerful than our positive faith.  There is a battle between positive faith and negative faith.  But positive faith will win out every time when the element of "knowing" is added.  However, "uncertainty" will strengthen the negative side.

So, where do we get positive faith and how do we develop it?  The scripture says that, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."  That scripture used to confuse me a little until Jesus explained it to me.  What it is saying is that faith comes from what you hear.  Negative faith comes from hearing negative things and positive faith comes from hearing positive things.  But real powerful positive faith comes from hearing the Word of God.  After all, if God says it, then it must be true and it must come to pass.  It also means hearing the spiritual revelation of the Word of God.

Here is something most Christians don't understand.  The scriptures, of and by themselves, are not necessarily the Word of God.  An unbeliever can read the Bible all day and get absolutely nothing from it.  To him it is just a bunch of stories and letters and sayings.  But a believer can read the same scriptures and become greatly inspired and built up spiritually.  It is not necessarily the scriptures themselves that are the Word of God, but it is what God reveals to you about the scriptures that is the Word of God.  All scripture is "God Breathed".  But if you don't have the spiritual ears to hear what is being conveyed on a spiritual level, then you aren't hearing the Word of God.  So, this is the kind of hearing that this scripture is talking about.  It is HEARING THE REVELATION of the Word of God that will create and build positive mountain moving faith.

The scriptures also tell us that faith without works is dead.  This has been a very misunderstood statement in Christian circles.  Many of those who are in bondage to fleshly religion and who are of the spirit of anti Christ, want to interpret this as meaning that salvation can only come via works, meaning keeping the Old Covenant Law of Moses and being good enough to be accepted by God etc.  But in reality, if you read the context of that scripture, you find that it has nothing to do with law keeping or being good enough.  It is explaining another aspect of the working of faith.

As I've already discussed, without faith, nothing would ever get done or created.  You would cease to be a functioning human being without faith.  But works of some kind will always be a result of true faith.

Let's go back to our example of going to work at the office.  First, you have faith that you can go to work, you believe that it is possible for you to go to work and you make the decision to go to work and that activates the power of intent.  Now, at this point, you have probably come to a place of "knowing" that you are going to work.  But still, nothing will happen and your faith won't produce anything (you won't go to work) without the final ingredient.  That ingredient is "WORKS".  If you truly believe that you are going to the office, you will act on that belief by getting into your car, putting the key into the ignition, starting it up and driving to your office.  You can sit home all day and hope and pray and believe that you are going to the office, but unless you act on that hope and belief, no creative faith has been released.  Same story with making the coffee table.  You can hope for a coffee table and believe that you have the ability to make a coffee table etc., but unless you actually assemble the tools and materials needed to make a coffee table and actually begin to act upon your faith by cutting and shaping wood etc., no coffee table will ever manifest.  Faith that you can create a coffee table is dead and won't accomplish anything until it is released through the works of actually building the coffee table.

The point is that true positive faith that works will ALWAYS produce actions of some kind as a result.  The action could even be a lack of action or having a positive state of mind instead of a negative one.  In other words, one of the "works" produced by faith might be the absence of worry about a situation.  See what I mean?  Works can take many forms.  And, like everything else, they can be positive works or negative works.  Negative faith will produce negative works (in the form of worry and concern).  But worrying is a work.  It is a resulting action.  But being in a state of peace about a situation is also a result of true faith at work. It is a positive work or a positive state of being as a result of your faith.

Also note that if you believe the prayer of faith will heal the sick, then the resulting work will be that you will pray for the sick. If you believe the scripture that says, “By His stripes you were healed,” then you will do the works of appropriating that healing for your body and begin to see yourself as well and consider yourself to be healed. Then that faith and belief will tend to produce other works and actions. You will begin to act like someone who is well instead of someone who is sick. Those actions release your faith and before you know it, health manifests in your body instead of sickness.

As another example, having faith that all your financial problems are solved might produce the action (or works) of purging your language of such statements as "I can't afford..." or "I don't know how I'm going to pay these bills."  If you truly have the positive creative faith needed to change this reality in your world, negative statements like these will not come forth.  See what I mean?  Eliminating negative thoughts and statements is also a work that will occur as a result of powerful creative faith in action.

The Roll of Patience in Creation

Another vital aspect of faith is patience.  Creation, depending upon what is being created, sometimes takes time to manifest.  If we don't immediately see the creation come into manifestation, then patience must kick in.

Patience means remaining at peace and not wavering in our faith until we see the manifestation of what is being hoped for and believed for.  Abraham is called the Father of the faithful because after God promised him a son by his wife Sarah who was already past the age of child birth, he still had to wait for many more years before that promise was fulfilled.  Meanwhile, Sarah was getting older and older.  Everyday Abraham looked at his wife as she advanced in years, another wrinkle here and one there.  Every day that went by, she was getting further and further away from the physical likelihood of ever giving birth.  Yet, Abraham's faith never wavered.  He knew it would come to pass because God gave His word.  But he never would have been able to sustain that faith without patience.  Without patience, his faith would have wavered and he would have begun to doubt and as a consequence, he might have never seen the birth of his son Isaac.

We likewise can look into the Word of God and latch onto promises.  When the scripture says, "But my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory...", we can accept that promise and release our faith in it.  After all, if God said it, then it has to be true.  And if it is true, then how can we possibly worry or doubt, no matter what the circumstances may appear to be.  Just look at what kind of physical circumstances Abraham looked at day in and day out for years J

Also note that the last thing God did after He completed the creation of the Heavens and the Earth was to enter into a period of rest. He rested on the 7th day of creation. He kept a Sabbath where He just rested and waited for the creation to manifest. This period of rest and patience is part of the creation process and cannot be bypassed. The final step in creation is keeping the Sabbath. And I’m not talking about keeping a certain physical day of the week. The keeping of the 7th Day Sabbath was merely a spiritual picture that God gave to Israel to illustrate and teach them about this critical part of the creation process. Unless you enter into a state of rest and knowing that what you have created in the Spirit is going to manifest in the natural, unless you enter into that state of perfect rest, peace and PATIENCE, the creation will never manifest.

Sabbath keeping is a very deep subject and there isn’t time to go into it here but it will be the subject of another article.

Part II

The Word

John 1:1 states: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Word WAS GOD! Think about that statement for a moment. If the Word was referred to as God, then don’t you think that is a pretty good indication of the importance of the Word?

Verse 3 states: All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Now, meditate on that statement for a moment. Everything that was created was created BY THE WORD!!

If you read the remainder of this chapter we find that the Word that was being spoken of here was none other than Jesus Christ. Why was Jesus referred to as the “Word”? We will address this question later. But for the moment what I want you to see and comprehend is that the Word was equivalent to God and the Word created everything!

The spiritual equation that was stated in John 1:1-3 is simply:

WORD=GOD

The word is just as important an element of creation as faith. The two things work hand in hand and one won’t work without the other. If you have faith without the word, no creation will occur. If you have the word without faith, no creation will occur. It takes these two elements working in conjunction to manifest creation.

In The Beginning

The very first chapter of the Bible (Genesis 1:1) states: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Remember the algebraic equation put forth in John 1 verse 1: God=Word. So, this verse could be restated as: In the beginning the “Word” created the heaven and the earth. In fact, that is essentially exactly what John 1:1 says.

Now notice Genesis 1:3: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Look at it, when GOD SAID “Let there be light”, the creation of light occurred (and there was light).

Verse 9 states: And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. Once again, GOD SAID “Let the waters….be gathered together”, and the creation of dry land occurred.

Through out the account of creation in Genesis 1:, we find that nothing occurred without the WORD being spoken. God SPOKE everything into existence. This is the way God creates and this is the way creation occurs. So let this point sink in: UNLESS THE WORD IS SPOKEN (IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER), NO CREATION CAN OCCUR.

Now let’s look at another scripture where we read the account of a woman who had a severe long term health problem. Mark 5:25 tells the story:

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Now in this account we see that the creation of healing in this woman worked the same way as God’s creation of the universe. THE WOMAN SAID if I can just touch His clothes, I will be healed. In essence, she spoke her healing into existence! Notice that Jesus didn’t pray for her nor did He really have anything to do with her healing except being a point of contact. In this case Jesus basically served as a conductor, a vessel through which the healing power of God flowed. Remember when the woman touched Him, He felt virtue go out of Him. Jesus didn’t lay hands on the woman nor did He have anything to do with the transfer or flow of healing power into this woman. Jesus specifically told her that it was HER FAITH that made her whole. It wasn’t His faith, but it was hers. It was her faith that gave substance or manifestation to her healing. But it was her speaking the word saying, “If I can just touch His clothes I will be healed” that launched or released her faith. And then, because she had faith, she performed the “works” of touching His garment. See how the elements of creation work together?

Here is the point: It is the spoken word that launches or releases faith, and faith, in turn, gives substance to the creation.

Psalms 107:20 states: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Once again, God creates healing by speaking and sending forth His word. But as we have already seen, in actual fact, God creates everything by His Word. And remember that we are mighty and powerful spiritual beings who are made in the image of God, so we operate the same way (whether we realize it or not). We create everything in our world by first speaking it.

In Genesis 17:4 God appears to Abraham and begins to make promises to him. God says: As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

This was the first time that God had specifically said to Abraham that he would be a “Father of many nations.” Now read the next verse.

Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

Woah, wait a minute. Now God is saying that He has already made Abram a “Father of many nations.” But so far, all that has materialized in the natural realm for Abram is one son, Ishmael, and he isn’t even the child of promise. Here Abram is 100 years old and Sarai, his wife, is 90, and God is saying that He has already made him a father of many nations. Now when on earth did this happen? When did Abram suddenly become the “Father of many nations”? The answer is that it happened in verse 4. When God said, “thou shalt be a father of many nations”, God released His faith right then. The creation of Abraham being the father of many nations occurred as soon as God said it. Notice that in verse 5, as far as God was concerned it was already done because He plainly states that “…a father of many nations have I made thee.” That’s past tense! It was already done.

As soon as God spoke it and released His faith, it was created in the spirit although it was many more years in the physical realm before Abraham could even begin to see an indication that this even had a chance of manifesting. But God was already talking about it in the PAST TENSE, because as far as He was concerned it was already a reality. This is the way powerful creative faith is released and how it takes on substance and eventually manifests in the natural realm. Just as God did here, when you speak something, when you release your faith, you must see it created in the spirit (the real reality), and then you must walk in and live in the spirit and only view it from the spiritual perspective where the thing has already been created. As soon as you release your faith by speaking it, it is created in the spirit. Your creation will eventually manifest in the natural if you don’t destroy it by changing what you believe and say about it.

If you create healing for your body by saying, “I am well and healed and every cell and organ in my body is strong and healthy and functioning perfectly just as God ordained it,” then a few minutes later or a day later you see test results and say, “Oh no, I’ve got cancer”, you have just destroyed the creation of health which had been created in the spirit and you’ve replaced it with a creation of cancer. You in essence recreated cancer and gave it even more power because you believed in it and had more faith in it than you did your positive creation of good health. Why do we tend to have more faith in what we see in the natural than in what we see in the spirit? Because, our first state, after we come into the earth, is to take on the nature of the First Adam which was of the earth, and was earthly in his thinking and his perspective. Our natural tendency is to “walk after the flesh” and to have more confidence in and faith in what we can contact with our 5 senses than what we can see and experience in the spirit. Therefore our creations are subject to the flesh and tend to stem from the flesh. So, as we look at the flesh (or physical realm) and speak after the flesh and release our faith in what we can see with our physical eyes and hear with our physical ears etc. we reinforce the fleshly circumstance and the fleshly reality that we are trying to fight against and change.

So likewise, if we proclaim, “I am an abundant man (or woman), and I have an abundance of money and finances,” then we turn around and say things like, “I can’t afford…”, or “I don’t know how I’m going to pay this bill,” or “Where am I going to get the money for this or that,” we are releasing our faith in lack, not affirming our faith in abundance. Consequently, the abundance that was created in the spirit has now been destroyed and in its place, lack has been created. And if that creation of lack is not destroyed before it has time to manifest in the natural, it will simply create more lack and your physical situation will simply grow worse and worse. Why? Because you are creating your own world and you are filling it with lack instead of abundance. When we create something in the spirit, just like God did with Abraham, we must understand that it is already done. It is already a reality in the Spirit realm. But, just like when God made Abraham a “Father of many nations,” it may not manifest in the natural realm over night. The name “Abraham” means “Father of many nations”. So, every time Abraham introduced himself he was saying, “Hi, my name is Father of many nations.” Every time anyone called his name he heard them calling him the Father of many nations. So, Abraham went around calling himself the Father of many nations for about 25 years after the promise was made before Isaac, the child of promise, was even born!

The thing is, the more you believe in the physical circumstance, the more power and effect that circumstance has upon your perception of reality, the longer it will take for the new spiritual creation to flow into your physical world and create a new physical reality.

We see in examples from the gospels that Jesus often obtained instantaneous results. Many times physical reality immediately conformed to the spiritual reality that He created or the reality that the person receiving the healing had created (as in the example of the woman with the issue of blood). This occurred because there was no unbelief blocking the flow of the spiritual creation into the natural realm. Or, as I have pointed out previously, we call it unbelief but the problem is not really a lack of believing. It is simply that we have greater belief and faith in what we can see in the natural realm than in what we can see or create in the spirit.

In a long teaching on the power of the spoken word, Jesus summed it up in Mark 11: 22-24 when He said:

Have faith in God.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

In verse 22 Jesus says to have faith in God. Now, according to Bible scholars who know a lot more about the original Greek translation than I do, a better translation might have been, “Have the God kind of faith,” or “Have God-like faith.” In other words, have faith that works the way God’s faith works. Then in verse 23 He goes on to say that IF YOU BELIEVE AND DOUBT NOT IN YOUR HEART…. you can speak to this mountain and it will obey you. God-like, mountain moving faith that changes your reality requires absolute belief in which there is no doubt. Now notice that He says that if you believe and doubt not in your heart that the the things you say will come to pass, then YOU SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER YOU SAY!!

Did you get that? If you create something in the spirit by speaking it into existence and then you absolutely believe and have no doubt whatsoever that your creation will manifest in the natural, you absolutely, positively will have whatever you say. Isn’t that great?!! Jesus also said that if you can but believe, then all things are possible.

But, this has a negative side as well. Because, creation is dependent upon our belief in what we say and if we believe what we are seeing in the natural realm, and we release our faith in that belief by speaking it, then we continue to create and reinforce that reality that currently exists in the natural realm. Do you see how this can work against you as well as working for you?

Now before we move on, let’s look once again at the verses in Mark 11, specifically verse 24. Jesus instructs us to believe that we receive the things we are praying for when we pray! We can’t wait until after we see our prayers answered or until we actually see the mountain move or until we see the creation manifest in order to believe. We must believe right then at the moment that we are speaking. When you speak to that mountain in your life that is blocking the Kingdom of God from manifesting, you must believe and doubt not in your heart that the mountain is going to move. In fact, you must see it as having already obeyed your word and moved. Then, if you can but believe that the things you say will come to pass, you will have whatsoever you say. This is a promise from Jesus Christ. This is the Word of God and God cannot lie. He is truth and His Word is truth and it is His Word that actually created the universe and that sustains it to this very day. If it were not true, the universe would cease to exist.

Now, let us read this passage again because there is one more very important point we need to get here. Jesus was not some crazy addle brained philosopher/teacher who just jumped from one subject to another for no particular reason. Let’s read it again:

Have faith in God (or God-like faith).

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever (whosoever means ANYBODY) shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Notice that Jesus is teaching about having the God kind of faith and how to operate in that kind of faith. He then instructs us to speak to the mountain and to believe and doubt not in our hearts that what we say will come to pass. Then the very next rattle out of the box He says: “Therefore I say unto you…” Now the word “therefore” in this case means > “because of what I just told you.” So, you could legally paraphrase this verse like this: Because of what I just told you I say unto you, whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you have them right then, and you shall have them.

The point I’m trying to make is that Jesus didn’t change the subject to prayer as an afterthought in this last verse. HE WAS TALKING ABOUT PRAYER ALL ALONG!!! When He was talking about speaking to the mountain and believing and doubting not in your heart that the things you say will come to pass, He was teaching us about prayer! And we will eventually come to see that EVERY THOUGHT IS A PRAYER! Now with that understanding, go back and read through the gospels and pay particular attention to the miracles Jesus did and you will begin to see things from a whole new perspective. When the woman with the issue of blood said, “If I can but touch his clothes I will be healed,” she was not only speaking the word and releasing her faith to give substance to and manifest a miracle of healing, SHE WAS PRAYING! She believed and doubted not in her heart right then. And she received an immediate answer to her prayer.

Also, before moving on, I want to remind you about what the scripture says in regard to how we obtain the God kind of faith (or God-like faith). It says, “Now faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Faith comes by hearing the Word of God with our spiritual ears. It comes by spending time in the Word and meditating on it and getting the spiritual revelation of it. It comes by spending time with God and His Word. It comes from talking to Him about it and asking Him questions about it, asking Him to explain it to you. And when He explains it, then revelation comes and when revelation comes, with it comes faith. It is really a supernatural occurrence.

There is also another very important way that faith is generated but that is another subject and somewhat outside the realm of this writing.

To reiterate and enlarge upon the point I made earlier, whether we realize it or not, we create everything in our world by first speaking it. Now here is the thing you must realize, the speaking doesn’t have to occur via the flesh man literally voicing the words. As we have already seen, every thought is a prayer. And your inner man, your spirit man, is constantly speaking things into existence but it happens so quickly and so naturally that you don’t even stop to think about it. It doesn’t even register with your conscious mind. You don’t even get out of bed in the morning until your inner man speaks it into existence and releases his faith (that you can and will get out of bed). When you wake up tomorrow morning, remember this and stop and analyze the process and observe it taking place. When you wake up, you may lay there awhile enjoying the comfort and warmth of your bed, but sooner or later you think (and your inner man speaks), “I’ve got to get up.” Or, you might say, “I’m going to get up now,” or “I might as well get up now.” But I guarantee you, until those words (or something similar) are spoken by either your inner man or maybe even your physical man out of your physical mouth, nothing is going to happen. If you didn’t first speak the word (either consciously or subconsciously) and release your faith in getting out of bed, you would lay there until you died. It’s the same thing with our scenario about going to work. At some point in your morning you either physically speak the words, “I’m going to work,” or your inner man speaks it, but the reality of your going to work would never manifest in the natural realm if the word was never spoken in order to release or launch your faith in going to work. And, if you didn’t believe and doubt not in your heart that you were going to get out of bed or go to work, then those things would never occur. See what I mean? The same thing is true with our scenario about making a coffee table. If either our flesh man or our inner man (or both) doesn’t at some point speak the word (“I’m going to make a coffee table”), no coffee table would ever get made.

We walk in great faith and create our worlds daily. We daily manifest our creations in the natural realm. But we are so skilled at it and it takes place on such a low level of consciousness that we don’t even have to think about it in order to do it. Our learning to create our worlds and our everyday experiences in our worlds is kind of like driving an automobile. When you are first learning to drive you have to really concentrate on everything you do. You are very aware of how you are steering the car and you are trying to make sure you steer it straight and stay on your side of the road. You are conscious of how much pressure you are applying to the gas pedal and how hard you mash on the brake. You are trying to think about and concentrate on everything at once and it can be quite a challenge. However, as you continue to gain experience in driving and as you do it day in and day out, it doesn’t take long before you just do everything naturally and don’t even think about what you are doing. You just get in your car and drive to your destination and you never once give a conscious thought to steering the car or how much to accelerate or any of those things. You just drive. And while you’re driving you are changing the radio station and talking on your cell phone at the same time and you still never give it a second thought J

And so it is spiritually. From the time you were born into this world, you began learning to create and bring things into manifestation in your world. By now you’ve become so skilled at it that you don’t even have to think about it. But the problem is that we have become so skilled at speaking after the flesh and walking after the flesh and deriving our belief from what we see in the natural realm, and therefore releasing our faith based upon what we see, hear, taste, touch and smell in the natural realm that it is difficult to reorder our creation process and base it upon the Word of God and what we can see and hear in the spirit realm. Just like learning to drive, it takes time and concentration and much conscious effort to manifest the Kingdom of God in our physical reality. But, as we work on it day in and day out, eventually it becomes easier. As soon as we realize that what we create in the spirit is just as real (if not more so) than what we are seeing in the natural realm, then manifesting those spiritual creations becomes easier and easier. I believe that to Jesus, manifesting the Kingdom of God was just as easy as driving a car is to us. But He was constantly making the point that everything He did, He did with the power and authority of the Son of Man. There was nothing that He did that we ourselves couldn’t do if we could just believe and doubt not in our hearts. No, it won’t be easy, but we can learn to operate in and manifest the Kingdom of God in our lives and in our physical realities if we work at it diligently and practice it and concentrate on it. Eventually we can get to the point where we can manifest the Kingdom of God as easily as we manifest our daily routines. It will be no more of a big deal than preparing dinner or washing the dishes.

Luke 6:45 says: A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil; for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

Notice that the good man brings forth good things. How? By speaking them. Likewise the evil man brings forth evil things the same way; by speaking them. Out of the abundance of the heart HIS MOUTH SPEAKS!!!! Creation is brought forth as a result of our speaking what we truly believe in our hearts. Remember Jesus said that if you believe and doubt not in your heart that the things you say will come to pass, you will have whatsoever you say. But just remember, this works for good and positive things but it also works for evil and negative things.

Ever been around someone who never has anything good or positive to say about anything? There lives are always an absolute mess. Look at those who always believe the worst about every body and every thing. They usually end up alone and miserable.

Also note that the mouth speaks what is truly in the heart. So, if your heart is filled with evil things (thoughts of sickness, disease, poverty, and whatever can go wrong will, etc.) that is what will come out of your mouth and that is what you will create in your world. But if you want positive things in your world, if you want to manifest the Kingdom of God in your world, then you must fill your heart with those things. That’s why the scripture says in Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Remember, every thought is a prayer so think and meditate on good positive things and upon the things you want to manifest in your world, in your physical reality (and also your spiritual reality). Fill your heart with good things, fill your heart with the Kingdom of God and guess what, that is what will eventually manifest in your world. Because, that is what you will be believing in and speaking into existence.

More On The Power Of The Tongue

The Bible is filled with scriptures that indicate the power and importance of the words that come forth from the mouth of our physical flesh man as well as the inner man. A few examples are:

Proverbs 18:21…Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 13:3…He that keeps his mouth keeps his life: but he that opens wide his lips shall have destruction.

Proverbs 15:4…A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Proverbs 18:7…A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

James 1:26…If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

Psalm 17:4…Concerning the works of men, by the word of your lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.

Psalm 50:23…Whoso offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.

Psalm 141:3…Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Proverbs 21:23…Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue, keeps his soul from troubles.

And my number one favorite is of course Luke 6:45…A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

That last scripture, Luke 6:45, pretty well sums up what I’ve been trying to communicate in this section of this booklet on the Elements of Creation. What is truly believed in the heart will be spoken by the mouth and that will manifest in the natural realm and create the world in which we live.

James goes into the power of the tongue (of what we say) in great detail. Let’s look at James the 3rd chapter beginning in verse 2:

  • For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.

Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor lists.

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles!

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:

But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

  • James is making a point for emphasis when he says that no man can tame the tongue because he goes on to admonish us to bring forth good works from a good conversation.

James points out that a small bit in the mouth of a horse allows the rider to control the animal and turn him any way he wants. He also gives the analogy of the tongue being like the rudder on a ship. It is, by comparison to the rest of the ship, a very small and seemingly insignificant part, yet it steers and turns the whole ship. Likewise the tongue and our words may seem like insignificant things that don’t matter but in reality they are controlling our course in life. They are responsible for creating the world in which we live. If you can control what you say and quit speaking after the flesh and fleshly circumstances, and if you will speak according to the spiritual creation you want to see manifested in your world, then the spiritual creation will eventually manifest in the natural realm.

    Power Of Agreement

Now lets look at another aspect of this. If you, as an individual, a powerful spiritual being, have the power to change your world and create and manifest the Kingdom of God in your life, think how powerful it is when many people are believing and speaking the same thing and releasing their faith by what they speak. As always, this release of faith can be either positive or negative. And, because we tend to speak after the flesh and our tongues tend to be “set on fire by hell” (as James puts it), we tend to speak more evil into the world than good. Each individual is not only responsible for creating his or her own individual world, mankind as a whole is responsible for creating the literal physical world environment that we live in. I don’t have time nor space in this booklet to go deeply into this concept, but if you will pray and meditate on it, I’m sure you will begin to see more clearly why things are as they are in this earth and in the physical realm.

Have you ever noticed how when a tragedy like an airplane crash occurs, there will often be another crash or two follow closely thereafter? The reason for this is that everyone begins talking about the plane crash and speaking negative things and they start releasing their faith in plane crashes and declaring that others will certainly follow, and guess what…..that is just what happens. This is the power of agreement at work in a negative way. But conversely, if we could all agree on and speak about positive occurrences, we would see good things happen. Unfortunately, all news media focus on negative things. All we hear and see whenever we watch the news or read a paper is negative. Very seldom is anything positive or uplifting ever broadcast. Therefore, our spirit, soul and our conscious minds are constantly bombarded by negative news and descriptions of negative realities. Is it any wonder that we, as mankind as a whole, tend to create more negative realities in this earth? It’s almost unavoidable because that is what we allow to get down into our hearts and our spirits and remember, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and brings forth whatever is in the heart. Of course the way to counter act that is to fill our minds with positive things and the Word of God. When we hear of something negative occurring in the world, instead of accepting and agreeing with it, we should speak against it and declare that the situation is changing for the better. Create it in the spirit and see it changed, and don’t change your spiritual vision nor speak anything else other than your spiritual vision. I’ll have more to say about this later when we discuss vain imaginations.

Look at Genesis 11 and the story of the Tower of Babel. Begin reading in verse 1:

  • And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

  • Notice that all of mankind was of one language. And, they were all speaking in agreement: “And they said” let us make brick,….and they had brick. “And they said” let us build a city and a tower that will reach up unto heaven, etc. Whatever they said in agreement was coming to pass and they were accomplishing.

Now look at God’s response to this situation:

  • And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one (all in agreement), and they have all one language (all speaking the same thing in agreement in the same language); and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
  • Did you see that!! God, out of His own mouth said that NOTHING WOULD BE RESTRAINED FROM THEM THAT THEY IMAGINED TO DO!!!!!! As long as they were all speaking the same language and were in agreement, anything mankind could imagine to do, he could do it. If he could imagine it, then he could do it. Like Jesus stated a few thousand years later, “If you can but believe, then all things are possible.”

We are powerful spiritual beings created in the very image of God. We are not only His creation, but we are His children, his off spring. And our faith works the same way His does. The very power that created the universe dwells in us and is part of us. It is the faith of God that made us. We are literally made from God so we, as well as everything else in the universe, are part of Him. We operate the same way He does, just on a much lower level and smaller scale right now. But remember Jesus was the pattern and the example of a man operating at a very high level of power and authority in this earth.

But also note that every miracle that Jesus performed, every healing or resurrection was performed in the power and authority of the Son of Man. In other words, anything Jesus did was something that could be accomplished by any other man or woman if they were operating in a high enough realm of faith. Remember, after Jesus ascended into heaven, many of his disciples did great miracles also. Just Peter’s shadow passing over the sick caused them to be healed. Read the book of Acts and you may be surprised at all the miraculous things done by Jesus’ disciples. And here is something else to meditate on, if they did it then, His disciples can do the same things today. Jesus didn’t quit being Jesus and the Spirit of God didn’t quit being powerful. In fact, the scripture plainly says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. So, He hasn’t changed His Modus Operandi at some point and decided that miracles and healings are a thing of the past and are no longer needed. In fact, many miracles and miraculous healings occur all the time but they are rarely reported on because of the skeptical nature of the news media and their tendency to reject anything spiritual or miraculous. Also, like I said before, if it isn’t bad news, they don’t want to have anything to do with it J

Another very real example of large groups of people speaking and releasing their faith to affect outcomes is something that is universally recognized in the world of sports. It is called “home field advantage”. Every sports fan knows that because of home field advantage, many times it is possible for even the worst team in the league to defeat the best team when the less talented team is playing at home. This phenomena cannot be fully explained by the fact that the better team has been traveling and may be fatigued and off their game. It could be a slight factor but often teams will travel to their opponent’s city one or two days ahead of time (maybe even as much as a week early). In those cases you can’t really site fatigue as being a factor. Some may argue that it has to do with being away from home and the visiting team not being in familiar and comfortable surroundings. And, I’ll agree that some of these things may in some cases be slight factors, but when you really get down to it and analyze the situation and look at thousands of contests and the number of unlikely upsets, you are almost forced to recognize that there is some other unseen factor at work here.

Stop and think about it. You have a sporting event with thousands of people in attendance and maybe 90% of those people are rooting for the home team. They are excited and joyful and speaking good things about their team and declaring that their team is going to be victorious. But the visiting team only has a few people rooting for them. The home town crowd is generating and releasing much more faith in that stadium than those who are cheering for and believing for victory for the visiting team. Anyone who has watched sports has seen the “positive vibes” and positive faith released by a home town crowd literally boost the performance of their team. Sports casters even talk about how the visiting team needs to get the crowd out of the game in order to win. They see it. They recognize that the crowd is having an impact. They just probably never stopped to think, or realize, that the impact the crowd is having is of a spiritual nature.

The fact is that there are spiritual battles of faith going on all the time and in many different situations and circumstances. As Christians we should realize that our battles are much more spiritual than physical. And the root of every circumstance and situation is in the spirit because that is where it was created in the first place.
