Well a new year is upon us, but I thought it a good time for an old song. Likely that most of you have heard this song from Peter Gabriel at one time or another, and a few of you may have the album "So" -where it can be found. This is one of those songs that rings true in many different ways. It is one of those songs that is spiritual without being overt-- that is truthful without being offensive. It is all about love.

I have found that many times recording artists will use the word "love" in place of "God" for whatever reason. I don't have a problem with this because John did the same. God is love, and those who truly love are children of God. Unfortunately, our society has watered down the word love, but Peter makes it perfectly clear who love is as he sings with an open heart, almost a prayer, to Love.

He begins with an admission that he gets lost sometimes....don't we all? We all may wander away from God, but we always return to place where He is. God is in His Kingdom and His Kingdom is within us. What we all are learning is that we must follow our heart because God speaks to us through this center of our being. Like every child of God, Peter is tired of seeing so much suffering in the world. But take heart you children of God! There are many souls walking the earth that hate the suffering in and of the world. Bill Gates, one of the riches men in the world, cares. Ophra cares. Even other rock stars care like Bono of U2. And like Bono and many others, these loving souls are not necessarily religious, but they are SPIRITUAL. They are being motivated and led by LOVE! This is how the Kingdom of God comes to earth! This is God's will be done! When our souls are full of nothing but love, then we can look at each other and see the face of God. Look into the eyes of Christ and see the light, the heat and you too can be that comlete!
